Teaching is something I love to do.  Having been teaching in UK and France for the last 20 years I have gleaned a great deal of information and different techniques.  I have experimented with painting, dyeing and printing on fabric and paper and produced many wall hangings and pictures for teaching and exhibitions.

The following courses can be made to fit into 1 or two days:

Making a Sketchbook

Experiment with many forms of mixed media in your sketchbook.  Using a theme of your choice, try out dyes, many different paints, stencils, printing blocks etc. on papers and small pieces of fabric, to make a fabulous Sketchbook.   Use this Sketchwork for future projects.  Being able to draw is not a necessity!

Dyeing and Printing on Fabric

Dyeing fabrics using Procion dyes together with monoprinting, stamping, screenprinting and stencilling.  Using some of these techniques, make a stunning wall hanging.  Machine stitching would complete the wall hanging.

Machine Quilting and Embroidery

Machine Embroidery and Quilting for beginners and the more experienced stitcher.  Learn  simple stitching to free machine embroidery.  Find out how to make your machine work for you.

Use this day to find out about different sorts of dyes used in various ways.

 

A Printing Day

Find out to Monoprint and Screenprint on fabric and papers.  Use these to make a wall hanging.
